Associate Scientist II

About the role

The successful candidate will be part of the CMC - DS Process Development Group, responsible for process development to incorporate novel chemistries into the manufacturing platform.

Responsibilities

• Support oligonucleotide synthesis method development, optimization, and scale-up
• Support downstream processing method development
• Execute in-process analytical testing
• Work with research and process scientists to develop robust processes for novel chemistries
• Maintain strong commitment to high laboratory and scientific standards
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly laboratory work environment
• Assist in routine lab and equipment maintenance

Skills

• Basic understanding of analytical techniques (pH, osmolality, conductivity measurement, HPLC, LC-MS, etc.); related hands-on experience is preferred
• Knowledge of oligonucleotide manufacture process, including phosphoramidite chemistry, chromatography, and ultrafiltration, is a plus
• Experience in record-keeping and excellent laboratory documentation practice
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work as a proactive team player in a highly dynamic environment with aggressive timelines

Qualifications

BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 1-3 years of lab experience, preferably in an industrial setting.

Pay

Pay ranges between $35-$43 per hour based on experience.
