Associate Registrar for Systems and Analytics
About the role
The Associate Registrar for Systems and Analytics provides operational leadership and strategic support for student information systems, data governance, reporting, and analytics within the Office of the Registrar. This role is responsible for business process analysis, system optimization, reporting, and data integrity, ensuring that systems and data effectively support institutional operations, compliance, and decision-making.
Essential Job Functions
- Manages and oversees the operation, configuration, and optimization of the student information system (Workday Student).
- Captures system upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and testing in collaboration with Technology and other vendors.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting issues related to the SIS and works with Technology to resolve technical problems.
- Serves as a key liaison between the Registrar's Office, Technology, and campus partners to enhance system functionality and promote data-informed practices.

Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Higher Education Administration, Information Systems, Business) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Registrar's Office, academic operations, or student services.
- Extensive experience with a Student Information System (SIS) (Workday preferred).
- Proven experience managing complex data sets, building reports, and using Workday or reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree, often in Higher Education, Educational Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Experience leading system migrations or major technology implementations.
Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), data privacy policies.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to improve business processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills for communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Extreme attention to detail to ensure accuracy in records.
Work Environment & Conditions/Physical Demands
- This position is hybrid-eligible, with a combination of on-site and remote work expected.
- Responsibilities are performed in a standard office environment.
- Primarily involves remaining in a stationary position (sitting) for prolonged periods while working at a computer, keyboarding, and utilizing a mouse/trackpad.
- Occasionally required to lift, push, pull, or transport light to moderate objects, such as boxes of files or office supplies, typically weighing up to 20-30 pounds.
- Requires sufficient manual dexterity to operate office equipment (keyboards, scanners, printers) and mobility to move around an office environment.
- Occasional bending, stooping, stretching, and walking are required.
Compensation
The hourly or annual salary range for this position is $60,100.00 - $95,400.00. This is a benefits-eligible position. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, education, skills, equity, and external market benchmarks that help guide compensation decisions.
