About the Role
QinetiQ Inc. is seeking an entry-level Quality Assurance Engineer to work at our production facility in Franklin, MA.
Responsibilities
- Work in an AS9100 environment as a Quality Assurance professional.
- Create and review Quality Assurance Data Packages for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify product documentation meets drawing, quality clause, and specification requirements.
- Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electromechanical hardware, textiles, and composites.
- Verify product conformance to program specifications, drawings, and acceptance tests.
- Contribute to Material Review Board (MRB) activities, perform root cause analysis, and participate in the corrective action process.
- Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams.
- Capture and combine inspection data and supplier data packages for maintenance and customer distribution.
- Perform First Article Inspections per AS9102.
- Support Quality Management System (QMS), AS9100, and CMMI processes, and perform audits.
- Assist with development and review of procedures and work instructions.
- Support assigned programs in accordance with detailed Quality Plans.
- Interface with engineering, manufacturing, program office, and configuration management.
- Support source inspection at supplier facilities (less than 10% travel).
- Review and approve Engineering Changes per assigned programs.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong technical communication and team-building skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically.
- Self-starter able to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of Quality Engineering experience.
- Experience with MIL SPEC paint, plating, and finish systems.
- Certified Internal Auditor.
- Certified IPC-A-610/620 Inspector.
- Recent experience in an ISO9000 or AS9100 environment.
- Experience working on DOD electromechanical products.
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI/ASME Y14.5).
Pay
The salary range for this role is $64,400 - $95,800 USD. The range provided is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
