Associate - Quality Control

About the role

As a Quality Control Associate, you will maintain a Quality Plan with customers to cover inspection processes of materials and/or products for conformance to specifications. You will also oversee quality control processes, support customers’ non-conformity investigations, and assist with production processes, including testing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality control requirements based on customer documents and industry standards to ensure first-time quality.
• Verify product/material meets CSA specifications and customer-specific requirements by comparing products with work orders and drawings.
• Maintain testing and calibration of equipment, including up-to-date records of third-party inspections and calibrations.
• Examine product/material for defects, reject defective items, and record types of defects.
• Monitor performance in required areas according to agreed-upon standards.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers to address quality issues.
• Process sales orders, pull inventory, and package products as required.
• Maintain databases (e.g., MS Excel).
• Develop and improve internal and external processes and procedures.
• Host internal and external audits to meet ISO 9001 standards.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years of industry experience preferred.
• 2+ years of quality assurance/control experience preferred.
• ISO 9001 Auditor experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of computer-based ERP systems and quality management systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing principles preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of medium and high-voltage electrical components preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, datasheets, and technical documentation.
• Ability to read test reports and make accurate recommendations.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated experience with Supply Chain processes (e.g., Sales and Operations Planning, MRP, Forecasting, Demand and Supply Planning, Indirect Procurement, Materials Management, Logistics).
• Experience with supply chain applications (e.g., Blue Yonder, JDC, Tools Group, O9, Oracle, SAP, SAS, APO).
• Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences and translate user requirements into actionable data.
• Aptitude for blending quantitative and qualitative data to tell a relevant story.
• Excellent multitasking skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
• Flexible, dynamic, self-motivated, and proactive; able to lead cross-functional teams in environments with competing objectives.

Pay

The amount we reasonably believe we will pay for this position may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Accu-Tech also offers a commission structure providing additional compensation based on sales results.
