Associate Project Manager – Fire Sprinkler Systems

Position Location

This role supports our Plano, TX branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Dallas, TX area.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • A High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
    • Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
    • Knowledge in local and national fire sprinkler codes and regulations (NFPA 13, NFPA 25 AND NFPA 20)
    • Verbal and written communication skills in English
    • Likely to be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
  • PREFERRED Qualifications:
    • 3+ years of technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
    • NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire Sprinkler Systems
    • 3+ years of technical experience in the commercial Fire Sprinkler industry

Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team, identifying time-sensitive installation requirements
  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects
  • Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews
  • Assist the Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors
  • Conduct orientations for project technicians and provide comprehensive project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, and project contacts
  • Track resources and project progress
  • Document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency
  • Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities
  • Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing, collaborating with the Accounting team and Operations Manager
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development
  • Complete project-specific close-out documentation
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, and report unsafe conditions and actions
