Position Location
This role supports our Plano, TX branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Dallas, TX area.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
- Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
- Knowledge in local and national fire sprinkler codes and regulations (NFPA 13, NFPA 25 AND NFPA 20)
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
- Likely to be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
- PREFERRED Qualifications:
- 3+ years of technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
- NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire Sprinkler Systems
- 3+ years of technical experience in the commercial Fire Sprinkler industry
Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent
- Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team, identifying time-sensitive installation requirements
- Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects
- Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews
- Assist the Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors
- Conduct orientations for project technicians and provide comprehensive project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, and project contacts
- Track resources and project progress
- Document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency
- Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities
- Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing, collaborating with the Accounting team and Operations Manager
- Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation
- Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development
- Complete project-specific close-out documentation
- Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, and report unsafe conditions and actions
