Associate Project Manager
Job Summary
This Associate Project Manager role is responsible for defining project scope, managing cross-functional teams, and driving on-time and on-budget delivery across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is an independent worker who can build relationships, with strong change management skills (including training and job aid creation), strong communication and project management skills, and LEAN experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope and objectives.
- Develop cost/benefit analysis, detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, test plans, contracts, risk and mitigation strategies, change management and communication plans.
- Define and secure authorization and funding for projects; determine staffing and individual roles and responsibilities of the project team.
- Responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members and conducting project meetings.
- Maintain the project plan, including risk management, issue management, change management and communication plans.
- Ensure that all requirements, project plans and changes to commitment are communicated to all impacted team members.
- Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams and different locations, including all vendors and sub-contractors.
- Responsible for the overall management and integration of requirements including the integration of vendor tasks; tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
- Measure, monitor and report progress at clearly defined points to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery by balancing and adjusting scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks.
- Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
- Present information, status and issues in a clear and concise manner with the goal of driving decisions.
- Organize and facilitate groups ensuring time is used effectively and drives projects forward.
- Work effectively with senior staff members and management.
Required Skills

Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in Project Management.

Education Requirements
A BA/BS in Management, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related experience (preferred).
