About the Role

As an Associate Project Manager, you will support the project management team by assisting in the planning, execution, and communication of new and ongoing projects. This entry-level role is designed for individuals with foundational knowledge in project management and a keen interest in developing their skills in the Material Handling industry. You will report to the Lead Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in project planning, execution, and communication from inception through completion.
  • Support in implementing key processes from the Mazzella Management System (MMS): KPIs, CARs, Supplier Performance, training, and support.
  • Assist in managing all project scope, specifications, and schedule changes.
  • Support in managing all project activities in accordance with the schedule and take responsibility for overall execution of work.
  • Document and execute all changes in the scope of the project.
  • Track and analyze technical problems to identify patterns/trends and determine cost-effective ways to eliminate root causes.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture/mindset with respect to project delivery and leadership demonstrated through the utilization of performance metrics and defined performance improvement plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline.
  • In the absence of a degree, directly related job experience serving in a project management role, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and E-verify.

Skills

  • Basic understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Microsoft Project preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
