Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid Project Management group with daily activities including preparation for kickoff meetings, project cost meetings, and field planning.
- Manage a light project workload under close supervision of Manager of Project Management Services and other project managers as assigned.
- Absorb responsibilities for coordinating field repairs with internal departments and customers as required.
- Review revised drawings, NOC’s for scope changes in preparation for change orders.
- Visit project sites prior to erection to review status, concerns, and communicate Fabcon Field processes to the customer.
- Attend project site meetings as necessary.
- Shadow project managers in review and negotiation of contracts.
- Attend scheduling meetings and maintain project timelines as required.
- Aid in the review of specifications and coordination of submittal requirements.
- Aid in the coordination of the drawing process with customers (OFA, FE, and DMLO approvals).
- Aid in obtaining quotes from subcontractors and the development of the subcontractor base.
- Aid in the coordination of closing out projects both in collections, punch-lists, and documents required by contracts.
- Aid in handling 10 and out plans, tracking activities on projects to completion.
- Follow up on materials needed for completion and subcontractors as required.
- Assist in reviewing OFA drawings for compliance with the scope outlined in kickoff.
- Aid in preparing EAC’s for timely loading of bids.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Other Required Qualifications
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Customer Service focus with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills; Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- An understanding of construction with the ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the construction industry.
Physical Requirements
- Office: Move 25lbs (not for all jobs, reasonable accommodations will be made), work with a computer for extended periods of time.
- Travel: Some travel by car and/or airplane may be required.
- Work Environment: Office: Quiet with some ambient noise, climate controlled, fluorescent lighting.
