About the role
The Associate Project Manager will support a program of high-impact, high-volume retail merchandising projects, ensuring flawless implementation by our in-house retail studio. This role involves managing inputs/outputs in a bespoke data management and planogram output tool, facilitating efficient project workflow, developing and managing project timelines, and monitoring project tracking. You will collaborate with creative, production, and quality assurance teams, as well as agency leads and client stakeholders. Candidates must be located in or around the San Jose / Santa Clara / Sunnyvale, California area. This role is remote and requires working Pacific time zone hours.
Responsibilities
- Manage small retail merchandising projects independently or support senior project management to lead a portion of a larger engagement on time and on budget while exceeding client expectations.
- Support program management on scheduling, tracking, change management, evaluating, and controlling tasks.
- Set clear expectations for tasks and deliverables across teams, communicating clearly and providing proper materials/documentation when necessary.
- Anticipate, identify, and communicate risks, seeking guidance from senior leads to mitigate issues.
- Monitor progress such as project status, issue resolution, task and allocation management, and timeline tracking; consult with the team and adjust as needed.
- Adopt automation and tools to streamline efficiency.
- Ensure exceptional attention to detail for accurate implementation and maintenance of planograms, including managing inventory, understanding product placement, and ensuring compliance.
- Previous exposure to retail planning and merchandising projects is a plus, including familiarity with:
- Production teams using modeling and rendering software to develop retail floor/space diagrams, table/fixture layouts, and product icons.
- Quality assurance to validate deliverables meet exacting specifications such as consistency, visual indicators, spacing/sizing, product accuracy, and volume accuracy.
- How customer experience in retail affects space planning decisions.
- Business drivers and considerations for merchandising teams, store planning teams, and retail partners worldwide.
Requirements
- 2+ years of project management experience in an agency environment managing a high volume of projects aligned to product lifecycles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Strong communication skills to drive workflow steps and internal processes, and ability to work with distributed global teams.
- Exposure to standard communication, project management, and workflow tools.
- Familiarity with retail merchandising projects focused on planogram development is ideal.
- Experience in the consumer electronics industry is a plus.

Pay
Compensation range: USD $50,065.00 - USD $63,200.00/Annually. This range reflects the Company’s belief at the time of posting and may be adjusted based on skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant.
