Responsibilities
- Manage and administer the MOT and OTD programs, including but not limited to: Planning and evaluation of degree programs. Budgeting. Recruiting, evaluating, developing, and retaining highly qualified faculty, staff, and students. Maintaining accreditation.
- Engaging in fundraising and donor stewardship.
- Contribute to classroom and lab-based instruction.
- Mentor students in research.
- Actively participate in research, data dissemination via peer-reviewed publications and presentations, and applications for grant funding.
- Lead by example through the advancement of research/scholarship.
- Actively participate in service to the community, institution, and profession.
Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree-Clinical or post-professional Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field (OTD, DrOT, DSc, EdD, ScD, PhD).
- Certified Occupational Therapist licensed in the State of Tennessee.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of documented experience in the field of occupational therapy, including:
- A minimum of 8 years of documented experience in the field of occupational therapy.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a faculty member with postbaccalaureate teaching responsibilities.
- Administrative experience within an academic setting.
- Nationally or internationally recognized leader in scholarship and research as evidenced through a strong record of peer-reviewed publications, extramural funding, and national service to the profession.
- Experience with program accreditation.
- Clinical practice experience, Administrative experience, Scholarship, a minimum of 4 years of experience as a faculty member with postbaccalaureate teaching responsibilities.
