About the Role

The Associate Professor is responsible for education, research, and/or service. They demonstrate loyalty to the mission, policies, standards, and regulations of their department, school, and the University, and follow administrative policies. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate or appropriate terminal degree.
• At least 10 years of teaching and professional practice experience.

Skills

• Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations.
• Ability to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, positive manner.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English with professional quality.
• Competency in using computers, printers, software programs, Canvas, and Banner.
• Strong telephone communication skills.
• Critical thinking and ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
• Ability to work calmly and respond courteously under pressure.
• Ability to distinguish colors, hear sufficiently for general conversation, and see adequately to read computer screens and written documents.

Licensures and Certifications

• Professional certification, licensure, or registration as appropriate to the field.
