About the role
The Ph.D. Program in Philosophy at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) seeks an Associate Professor with tenure who has achieved international standing through a substantial research record in the area of Logic. Additional secondary and tertiary areas of significant specialization are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Teaches graduate courses and supervises M.A. theses and Ph.D. dissertations
- Mentors and trains graduate students
- Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions
- Collaborates with consortial faculty members to enhance interdisciplinary research and scholarship
Requirements
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Demonstrated scholarship or achievement, ability to teach successfully, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Philosophy or a related discipline
- Substantial research record
- Ability to teach graduate courses and supervise M.A. theses and Ph.D. dissertations
- Ability to mentor and train graduate students

Pay
$113,982-$121,194/year (salary will increase to $117,971-$125,436 as of 9/1/26 per the CUNY PSC contract).
