About the role
The Department of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical school is seeking a physician leader to serve as the Director for the Division of Nephrology. This physician leader serves as the Medical Director for Nephrology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and University Hospital. The successful candidate will have clinical expertise and a strong record in teaching and research. This position will have responsibility for all UME and GME programs in Nephrology inclusive of the Nephrology fellowship.
Responsibilities
- Medical Director for Nephrology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and University Hospital
- Lead and oversee all UME and GME programs in Nephrology
- Inclusive of the Nephrology fellowship
- Ensure high standards of patient care and medical education
- Contribute to the academic mission of the institution through teaching and research
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology
- Experience in medical education and training
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Substantial clinical experience in nephrology
- Track record in teaching and research
