Associate or Full Professor, Clinical Educator or Tenure Track, Nephrology
About the role
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Nephrology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track.
Qualifications
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Board certified/eligible in pediatric nephrology
- Demonstrated excellence in education, research, and clinical care
Responsibilities
- Teaching: Teaching and mentoring junior faculty, graduate students, medical students, pediatric residents, and pediatric nephrology fellows
- Clinical: Treatment of children and adolescents with a wide range of kidney diseases in inpatient, outpatient, satellite campus, and dialysis settings
- Research or scholarship: A national reputation in clinical, basic science, and/or translational research involving patients with kidney disease; program administration skills; commitment to direct and grow clinical programs in the specific area of interest
Resources and support
Significant research and clinical resources and space for the research and clinical programs will be provided to the successful candidate. The Division of Nephrology at the Children's Hospital is at the forefront of clinical care, teaching, and research, comprised of 15 faculty members and 9 clinical fellows, in addition to nurses, administrators, social workers, dieticians, and research staff. The CHOP Division of Nephrology provides comprehensive care for children, adolescents, and young adult patients with kidney disease.
