About the Role
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. This role focuses on pediatric urology, with an emphasis on minimally invasive surgery and major urologic surgical reconstruction.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
- Certified by the American Board of Urology or eligible for such certification.
- Completed training through an ACGME-approved pediatric urology fellowship.
Responsibilities
- Teaching: Instruction of medical students, residents, and pediatric urology fellows in the operating room, outpatient clinic, and on inpatient rounds.
- Clinical: Care for urologic patients, including open, endoscopic, and minimally invasive surgery.
- Research/Scholarship: Studies in areas of clinical outcomes and urologic reconstruction. The successful candidate will be expected to publish in peer-reviewed journals and demonstrate potential for developing independent research.
A strong research background is preferred.
