About the Role

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track, specializing in pediatric urology with a focus on minimally invasive surgery and major urologic surgical reconstruction.

Responsibilities

  • Teach medical students, residents, and pediatric urology fellows in the operating room, outpatient clinic, and on inpatient rounds.
  • Provide clinical care for urologic patients, including open, endoscopic, and minimally invasive surgery.
  • Conduct research or scholarship in clinical outcomes and urologic reconstruction, with an expectation to publish in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

  • M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Certification by the American Board of Urology or eligibility for such certification.
  • Completion of training through an ACGME-approved pediatric urology fellowship.

Qualifications

A strong research background and demonstrated potential for developing independent research are preferred.
