About the role

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of plastic surgery and reconstructive microsurgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidate must be board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include education of medical students, residents and microsurgical fellows.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient, inpatient, and surgical care of patients.
  • Candidates must have completed an ACGME-accredited plastic surgery residency program and a microsurgical fellowship.
  • Position will be based in Philadelphia at Pennsylvania Hospital with potential outpatient sites in suburban NJ or PA.
  • May include the full spectrum of plastic surgery with a primary focus on breast reconstruction.

Requirements

Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidate must be board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).

Qualifications

Completed an ACGME-accredited plastic surgery residency program and a microsurgical fellowship.
