About the role

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Expertise is required in the specific area of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Must be fellowship trained in the field of facial plastic/reconstructive surgery and board certified or board eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include medical student, resident and fellow education as well as formal lecture opportunities.
  • Serve as Co-Director of the facial plastics fellowship program.
  • Medical and surgical treatment of cosmetic and reconstructive cases for the face including Rhinoplasty, Facelift, Neck Lift, Brow Lift, Blepharoplasty, Otoplasty and facial reconstruction post MOHS.
  • Develop programs in facial nerve reanimation and gender affirming surgery are strongly encouraged.
  • Excellence in clinical practice, program development, quality improvement initiatives and innovation in delivery of care is required.
