About the role

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise is required in the specific area of laryngeal, airway, esophageal and sleep disorders.
  • Candidates must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
  • Candidates must be fellowship-trained in either laryngology or sleep medicine and be board certified or board eligible in their respective specialty.
  • Teaching responsibilities may include medical student and resident education, as well as delivering formal lectures on an annual basis.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include the medical and surgical management of patients with laryngeal, pharyngo-esophageal, airway, and sleep-related pathologies with clinical duties performed at Pennsylvania Hospital and the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center of Philadelphia (VAMC).

Requirements

Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.

Qualifications

  • Fellowship-trained in either laryngology or sleep medicine.
  • Board certified or board eligible in their respective specialty.
