Associate Professor

Responsibilities

• Teaching in-person (Manhattan, Brooklyn) and asynchronous/synchronous courses according to workload assignments
• Service to the Department, University, and Community
• Research/Scholarship, including publication, social work academic conferences, funded research
• Academic advising for students in traditional, on-campus and distance education online
• Participate in standing and ad-hoc committees
• Participate in program events, such as orientation and graduation
• Build, strengthen, and support community relations
• Highly engaged and responsive during stipulated work hours

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work degree and a Doctorate in a related field of study required; a Ph.D. in Social Work or a DSW degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of graduate-level, clinical teaching experience required.
• Evidence of research and scholarly activities
• Instructional course design experience
• Student advising experience
• Experience with clinical simulation technology and artificial intelligence experience a plus

• Experience with Canvas and electronic learning management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, & Zoom
