About the role

The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise in the specific area of complex spine surgery with specialization in minimally invasive spine surgery.
  • Demonstrated professional and clinical focus in minimally invasive spine surgery, including endoscopic, robotic, and minimal access approaches.
  • ABNS certification or eligibility.
  • Post-graduate spine fellowship training.
  • Serving as the Director of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery within the Department of Neurosurgery.
  • Developing an internationally recognized program in minimally invasive spine surgery.
  • Optimizing care pathways in the ambulatory setting.
  • Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Practicing complex spine surgery, including open and minimally invasive techniques.

Qualifications

  • M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
