About the role

The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise in complex spine surgery with specialization in minimally invasive spine surgery
  • Career interest and subspecialty expertise including but not limited to endoscopic, robotic, and minimal access approaches
  • Must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
  • Must be ABNS certified or eligible and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care and education
  • Training in a post-graduate spine fellowship is required
  • Teaching responsibilities may include the education and training of medical students, residents and fellows
  • Clinical responsibilities may include the practice of complex spine surgery, including open and minimally invasive techniques

Requirements

Candidates must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

Candidates must be ABNS certified or eligible and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care and education.

Candidates must have training in a post-graduate spine fellowship.
