Responsibilities
- Get Information — Gather information from various departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Accounting, Programs, Marketing, Logistics, Quality Assurance, and Contracts.
- Make Decisions and Solve Problems — Analyze and evaluate information to choose solutions and resolve engineering or science problems.
- Identify Objects, Actions, and Events — Understand engineering data or reports and review Purchase Requisitions to ensure part producibility and screen for potential problems.
- Interact with Computers — Program, write software, set up functions, enter data, and process information using computers and computer systems.
- Communicate with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Provide information by telephone, in written form, email, or in person, and confer with engineering, manufacturing, managerial, or supervisory personnel.
- Conduct or Attend Meetings — Attend staff, planning, production, and program meetings and relay updated relevant information to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain Processes, Materials, or Surroundings — Monitor and analyze work problems or assist workers or other functional groups in solving work problems and issues.
- Investigate and Alleviate Problems — Investigate and resolve problems encountered in manufacturing and perform tasks such as performing the REA form to communicate design deficiencies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering field. A degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Experience: Two years of experience preferred, preferably in the military aerospace environment. Experience monitoring work progress of assembly, fabrication, and integration in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Pay
The salary range for this role in Maryland is $79,000 – $110,000. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
