Production Associate
About the role
Milpower Source, Inc. is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of power conversion, power management, and networking solutions for the defense and aerospace markets. We work closely with leading OEMs, integrators, and subsystem developers. Our products include DC/DC converters, AC/DC inverters, solid state power distribution, generator control, VPX, and rugged battery backup solutions. We offer software-defined power control and a rugged line of USB hubs, ethernet switches, routers, and other network solutions. With a global footprint spanning the US, Israel, Switzerland, and India, we are seeking a Production Associate to assemble products for COTS, military, and aerospace applications, ensuring quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Study and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and sketches.
- Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications.
- Double-check connections, glue, conformal coating, and any special processes to ensure quality; record discrepancies.
- Determine if all parts are present using parts lists.
- Position parts and subassemblies, ensuring all components are fitted and screwed in properly.
- Adhere to ESD and FOD requirements during assembly.
- Report assembly and production issues to supervisor.
- Document actions by completing production assembly and quality control forms.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Report errors in the product line.
- Participate in team meetings and build positive work relationships.
- Cross-train with other stations to increase the movement of the final product.
- Perform routine housekeeping to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and abide by safety rules.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Manual dexterity for handling small hand tools or power tools.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, talk, and/or hear. The role involves handling and grasping items, using small hand tools or power tools for assembly. Fine motor skills are used regularly. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds individually. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
