About the role

The Associate, Product Quality is responsible for supporting day-to-day functions of Fanatics Commerce's regulatory, product safety, and supplier compliance programs, working closely with sourcing, product development, procurement, operations, engineering, and suppliers to ensure compliance is built into products from development through production. This role maintains documentation, coordinates third-party testing and certifications, and ensures products and suppliers meet applicable U.S. and international regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Team & Leadership Impact
    • Partner cross-functionally with sourcing, product development, procurement, operations, and engineering teams to embed compliance considerations from early development through final production.
    • Collaborate with suppliers during onboarding and ongoing assessments to align on compliance expectations and drive shared accountability across the supply chain.
    • Support internal and customer audit processes by coordinating with stakeholders across departments to prepare documentation and respond to regulatory inquiries in a timely, organized manner.
  • Fan & Customer Impact
    • Ensure products reaching fans meet all applicable safety and regulatory standards, including CPSIA, FDA, REACH, Prop 65, MoCRA, and other product-specific requirements, protecting the quality of the fan experience.
    • Coordinate third-party testing with accredited laboratories such as SGS, Intertek, BV, and TUV to validate product compliance before products reach consumers.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date compliance documentation, including test reports, Certificates of Conformance, SDS/MSDS, ingredient disclosures, and supplier declarations to support product integrity and consumer safety.
    • Support the timely resolution of compliance gaps that could impact product availability or fan-facing quality.
  • Innovation & Problem Solving
    • Continuously improve compliance tracking systems, databases, and document repositories to increase accuracy, accessibility, and operational efficiency.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline supplier onboarding and compliance assessment workflows, reducing friction and cycle time across the supply chain.
    • Apply analytical skills to monitor compliance data trends, flagging emerging risks and recommending proactive solutions to the compliance team.
    • Support strategic compliance projects as directed, bringing creative problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset to evolving regulatory landscapes.

    • Manage and maintain compliance databases, trackers, and document repositories with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Execute day-to-day compliance tasks with a self-motivated, organized approach, completing duties with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
    • Adhere to all department and company standards, operating procedures, and safety requirements consistently and without exception.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in compliance, quality, sourcing support, or regulated consumer products; entry-level candidates with strong organizational skills will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. and international product regulatory frameworks, including CPSIA, FDA, REACH, Prop 65, and MoCRA.
  • Experience collecting, reviewing, and maintaining compliance documentation such as test reports, COCs, SDS/MSDS, ingredient disclosures, and supplier declarations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to define and understand technical requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated ability to build and manage compliance trackers and data repositories.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with comfort working across suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, or a related field.

Pay

The salary range represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.

Salary Range: $48,000 - $52,000 USD
