Associate Product Manager - Clinical Engineering (Local / Hybrid)
Job Summary
Manages vision, roadmap, deliverables for a small set of products for customers. Documents customer needs into a portfolio roadmap. Provides assistance on development, execution and monitoring of product roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads vision, roadmap, deliverables for a variety of clinical engineering products.
- Translates customer needs into projects on a project roadmap.
- Provides direction on development, execution and monitoring of product roadmaps.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, to be able to properly communicate with clinical staff, vendors, IT and occasionally even patients throughout our VUMC facilities.
- Ability to work on-site at our various clinics and/or facilities in a hybrid fashion 3 days a week.
- Ability to participate in an On-Call rotation as needed.
- Technical Capabilities:
- IT Portfolio Management (Fundamental Awareness): Maintains and updates status of projects including planned initiatives, projects, and ongoing IT services for IT Portfolio Management.
- Product Vendor Management (Fundamental Awareness): Assists in identifying technical requirements for the contract. Works with vendors in support of the administrative process.
- Emerging Technologies (Fundamental Awareness): Stays abreast of new technology as it applies to work assignments and tasks. Reads trade journals, books and other materials to remain informed about new technology. Maintains a curiosity about new tools and their utility on current projects.
- Product Knowledge (Fundamental Awareness): Has a general working knowledge of the product and of key product terminology. Some training, direct exposure, light experience, or past experience working with the product.
- Project Coordination (Fundamental Awareness): Has light experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience with Project Coordination. Has worked on at least one project in a support role.
