About the role

The global Product Organization delivers the holistic product strategy for Visa and accelerates the seamless delivery of our products into markets. We are investing in the next generation of talent through our Associate Product Manager Program, designed for New College Graduates interested in becoming future Product Managers.

This two-year program includes four six-month rotations on high-impact product opportunities, collaborating with stakeholders across product, engineering, sales, strategy, finance, and marketing. Rotations and learning experiences will build skills in innovation and design, product marketing, commercialization, and product implementation. Upon completion, high-performing participants will be prepared for advanced product management roles.

As an Associate Product Manager, you will drive innovative ideas from product ideation to launch and scaling in the market. You will assist in delivering next-generation product offerings, including innovative payment experiences, fraud prevention, and solutions tailored to banks, tech companies, fintechs, merchants, and local markets across 200+ countries.

You must be a self-starter, ready to learn and experiment, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Success requires focusing on high-leverage activities amid rapid change and driving initiatives to completion.

We are hiring for the Bay Area; rotations may be placed in our Foster City or San Francisco offices. All Visa roles require digital fluency, including working with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot). Visa requires at least 3 days in-office per week.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of product strategy, go-to-market plans, and product design documents (concept document, business case, product requirements).
  • Support the development of the product roadmap to define and align product goals and strategies.
  • Become knowledgeable on Visa’s products and support the product team in driving the development of product features and functionality.
  • Understand market trends, competition, and user requirements.
  • Distill market research to provide insights and inform product decisions.
  • Collaborate with designers to create design concepts and with Engineering to implement and iterate on these concepts.
  • Collaborate with internal Visa teams (e.g., regional teams, Product Marketing, Business Development, Finance) to define and execute a cohesive product strategy.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Less than 6 months of relevant work experience with either a Bachelor's or Master's degree graduating between May 2026 and August 2027.
  • Must be available to start working in August/September 2027 for a common onboarding experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Product Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Internships with related work experience.
  • Eagerness, self-starting approach, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional collaborative environments.
  • Knowledge or experience with Agile methodology for product development and delivery.
  • Technical fluency, including programming languages, data analysis, business case modeling, pricing, and design.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial and resourceful, with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently.
  • Focused on providing excellent customer experiences.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and flexible.

Pay

The estimated salary range for this position is $116,480, which may include potential sales incentive payments. Salary may vary depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

Schedule

  • Visa requires at least 3 days in-office per week; specific expectations will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
  • Work hours vary based on departmental needs.

Additional Information

  • This position is open to U.S. applicants only and requires permanent authorization to work in the U.S. Visa will not sponsor work visas for this role.
  • Travel requirements: 5-10% of the time.
  • This role is performed in an office setting and requires sitting and standing at a desk, communicating in person and by telephone, and frequently operating standard office equipment.
