About the role

The Product Management Associate will support the growth of HarbourVest’s Infrastructure & Real Assets Investment group globally, playing a key role in the business operations of the team. The role will have exposure to a wide range of activities including client service/fundraising activities, portfolio analysis and reporting, capital activity and fund management, and the investment process. The role will also serve as a liaison across multiple departments including Accounting, Marketing, and Investor Relations. Please note that this role is not focused on evaluating and executing Infrastructure & Real Assets investments.

This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Own recurring deliverables for the Infrastructure & Real Assets practice across funds, separate accounts, and individual deals, including portfolio updates and reporting, fund fact sheets, data rooms, and standard client reporting
  • Maintain the Infrastructure & Real Assets track record and supporting metrics, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness
  • Participate in weekly Infrastructure & Real Assets Investment group meetings
  • Perform portfolio and strategy-level analyses to support management decisions, client requests, and internal reporting
  • Support the lifecycle operations of Infrastructure & Real Assets funds and SPVs, including liquidity and capital planning, cash flow modeling, and related capital activity
  • Liaise with multiple HarbourVest teams to support ongoing monitoring, marketing, and reporting for Secondary funds as required
  • Manage and coordinate the end-to-end RFP and due diligence questionnaire (DDQ) process, ensuring timely, high-quality responses
  • Map, track, and analyze investor engagement activity to support fundraising and relationship management efforts
  • Other responsibilities as required

Qualifications

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership over recurring deliverables and the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
  • Clear, confident communicator who can distill complex portfolio and fund information into concise, client-ready materials for a range of audiences
  • Natural relationship-builder who enjoys collaborating across teams (Accounting, Marketing, Investor Relations) to keep cross-functional projects on track
  • Data-driven mindset
  • Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collegial environment and is eager to build deeper expertise in infrastructure and real assets over time
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in institutional relationship management or business development, private equity, asset management, or related financial services role preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Foundational understanding of private markets terminology and performance metrics; familiarity with infrastructure and real assets is a plus

Education

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) / Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or CFA is a plus but not required

Pay

Base Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 (USD). This range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, determined based on individual and overall firm performance. Total compensation may also include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
