As an Associate Producer at Spectrum News, you will collaborate with producers to craft compelling stories. You'll represent what’s happening in your community and connect audiences with the stories that matter.

Responsibilities

• Transforming stories from a simple pitch into a hit that inspires and delights viewers
• Working with colleagues in a collaborative environment
• Connecting with neighbors as you dig into the issues that matter to your local community
• Telling stories across platforms including TV, connected television, and digital

Requirements

• Experience: Television news - 0-2 years
• Education: High school diploma
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of current events, social media, and industry trends
• Skills: Ability to collaborate, news writing skills, and attention to detail
• Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
• Schedule: Ability to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or comparable television work experience preferred
• Working knowledge of general office computer software, newsroom software, and basic non-linear editing systems
• May be required to lift up to five pounds
