HUB International · Boston, MA · 1 mo ago
Design$89k–$110k/yrFull-time
About the role
HUB International’s Private Equity Practice is seeking an Associate Producer to support a growing practice serving PE funds and their portfolio companies. This role is not a traditional insurance role but rather a high-growth position focused on sales support, systems building, and client service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Build polished, client-ready presentations, pitch decks, and proposals from start to finish.
- Prepare meeting materials and follow-up communications for PE fund meetings and portfolio company engagements.
- Manage ongoing client service coordination across property & casualty, benefits, and retirement plan workstreams.
- Represent the practice in client-facing interactions with PE partners, associates, and portfolio company leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including service teams and other specialists, to bring the best resources HUB has to clients.
- Track deal pipelines, manage CRM activity, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks during active deal cycles.
- Design and build AI-powered research workflows using tools like Claude, PitchBook, and CRM platforms to identify target funds and portfolio companies.
- Create automated processes for market research, competitive intelligence, and prospect identification that scale beyond manual effort.
- Develop and maintain marketing content, social media presence, and outbound campaigns using technology-driven approaches.
- Continuously improve operational efficiency by identifying manual processes that can be systematized.
- Shadow the Practice Leader in client meetings, deal negotiations, and relationship-building engagements.
- Develop fluency across commercial insurance, employee benefits, and 401(k)/retirement plan products as they apply to PE transactions.
- Learn how insurance integrates into the M&A process: due diligence, post-close onboarding, and ongoing portfolio management.
- Progress toward independent production, taking ownership of smaller accounts and eventually building your own book of business.
Requirements
- Exceptional work ethic. You respond during off hours to keep deals moving forward, including weekends.
- Technical proficiency in creating professional presentations, written communications, and client-ready deliverables.
- Critical thinking and independence. You identify problems, propose solutions, and execute without constant direction.
- Professional presence. You can walk into a meeting with a sophisticated client and hold your own.
- Intellectual curiosity and a bias toward learning. Insurance and PE knowledge are teachable—hunger is not.
- Problem-solving ability and creative thinking within the framework of M&A deals and a corporate structure.
- Self-starter who is not afraid to ask questions.
- Patience to learn the process and develop.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional experience in a demanding, client-facing, analytical, or sales support role.
- High school or equivalent education.
Skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with CRM platforms and AI tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance, employee benefits, and retirement plan products.
- Experience with M&A processes and due diligence.
Benefits
- Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
- Flexible work schedule based on performance.
- 401(k) account.
- Equity and commissions for some positions.
Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $88,500 - $110,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
