About the Role

The Associate Producer will partner with the team on all aspects of the game production and editorial process, including managing product deliverables, product documentation, and milestone reviews. This role involves driving internal and external communication, managing product deliverables from partners, and occasionally leading small-scale projects with limited scope and complexity.

The Associate Producer will uphold the overall quality and usability of features within the game, coordinate and consolidate feedback on relevant documentation, and source reference and game assets. This role requires understanding game design and franchise priorities, collaborating across functions, and facilitating alignment and prioritization of feedback on partner submissions. Occasional on-site support with external development, including some domestic and international travel, is required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the project Producer to deliver high-quality products in gameplay, art, animation, sound, and overall gameplay.
  • Facilitate sourcing and delivery of reference material and assets to development partners.
  • Support multiple projects, tracking partner submissions and ensuring timely delivery of feedback (art direction, gameplay, story, narrative, and franchise feedback) across internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with senior Production Staff in producing presentations and contribute to product demos for management and stakeholders.
  • Provide brand guidance to external partner teams, balancing game needs with the authenticity of TWDC franchise characters and worlds.
  • Coordinate collaboration across internal (production, art, and story) and external groups by setting up meetings and following up on action items.
  • Participate in weekly production, art, and story meetings, ensuring actionable feedback is gathered and addressed.
  • Play game development builds to generate brand and qualitative feedback.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in product development/production of Console, Mobile, or PC games or other entertainment.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of ownership, flexibility, and urgency.
  • Able to work independently, creatively, and track multiple deadlines and projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building productive relationships with external partners, managers, and peers.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Airtable.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and other production methodologies.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint/Keynote.
  • Passion for the latest games and game platforms (Mobile, Console, PC, AR/VR) and TWDC intellectual property.
  • Affinity and familiarity with TWDC franchises.
  • Ability to identify and assess risks and escalate as necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $72,000 to $96,500 per year. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
