About the role

In the role of Associate Principal, Interiors, you will be responsible for design in all phases of a project and demonstrate a master-level knowledge of the interior design process from programming through construction administration. You will lead the interior design team on projects of any size or complexity, delegate to and supervise the work of others, and maintain professional communication, presentation, and client management skills. The ability to clearly document and present design concepts to all project stakeholders and industry peers is essential. This role requires a collaborative team player with a consistently positive attitude, even in challenging circumstances.

You will leverage technology to present and document ideas, often producing presentation materials and associated documentation independently, especially in smaller offices. A strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp/Rhino (or similar), Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design projects from programming through construction administration.
• Supervise and delegate work to the interior design team.
• Document and present design concepts to stakeholders and industry peers.
• Produce presentation materials and project documentation independently when needed.
• Collaborate effectively with teams and maintain a positive attitude in challenging circumstances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant design firm environment.
• NCIDQ certificate holder.
• Interior Design license in the applicable state (if required).
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp/Rhino (or similar), Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• California healthcare experience.
• LEED AP certification.
• WELL AP certification.

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $98,000–$140,000, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.

Schedule

Full-time, regular employee status.
