About the role

The Associate Principal, Health Plan Consulting plays a key role in delivering high-impact consulting engagements for health plans and large medical groups nationwide. This individual serves as a trusted advisor, analytics leader, and engagement facilitator, helping clients improve member experience, quality outcomes, retention, and drive sustainable financial results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analytics development and insight generation for consulting engagements focused on member experience, quality improvement, retention, and value-based care performance.

  • Develop executive-ready presentations, reports, strategic recommendations, and client-facing deliverables that translate complex data into actionable business strategies.

  • Facilitate client meetings, workshops, and performance reviews with executive and operational stakeholders.

  • Support clients in designing and implementing experience transformation initiatives that improve quality, member satisfaction, and business outcomes.

  • Define engagement success metrics and measurement frameworks that demonstrate client impact and ROI.

  • Manage engagement workstreams and ensure deliverables are completed on time and at the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience within a health plan, integrated delivery system, large medical group, healthcare services organization, or related healthcare environment.

  • Experience leading or supporting quality improvement, member experience, patient experience, or population health initiatives.

  • 3+ years of healthcare consulting or other client-facing advisory experience.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting Medicare Stars, CAHPS, HEDIS, value-based care, or related healthcare quality programs.

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to perform complex healthcare data analysis and communicate findings effectively to executive audiences.

  • Experience developing dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare quality performance measures, outcomes reporting, and performance improvement methodologies.

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, facilitation, and consulting skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced client-facing environment.

  • Highly collaborative, adaptable, and solution oriented.

  • Pioneering ability to influence stakeholders and drive action through data-driven recommendations.
