Strategy Insights & Planning Associate Consultant - Health Plan
About the role
Join ZS's growing Health Plan & Provider practice, partnering with leading health plans, managed care organizations, integrated delivery systems, and healthcare innovators to solve complex strategic and operational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Identify the problem statement and break down into smaller components (e.g., issue / logic tree)
- Own a project workstream (data / content synthesis, insights / findings)
- Develop storyline / board of the workstream in clear easy to understand framework
- Work in teams - communicate, participate, collaborate, motivate
- Leverage problem solving skills and frameworks to develop solutions to our client’s business problems
- Assist in structuring and conducting market research and/or desk research to derive insights and contribute to client decision making
- Design custom analyses using tools like Excel, Access, Confirmit and ZS's proprietary software
- Synthesize and communicate results to clients and ZS teams through oral and written presentations
- Actively support management of the program plan and conduct regular status updates with the client – risk and issue mitigation
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a field with quantitative coursework such as business, economics, marketing, psychology, life sciences and social sciences preferred
- 2.5 - 5 years of relevant post study Health Plan/payer consulting job experience required
- A PhD may substitute in lieu of work experience
- Experience in healthcare consulting, health plan strategy, healthcare analytics, population health, value-based care, network management, or related healthcare functions required
- Experience with healthcare business processes/analytics preferred
