Associate PGD Field Engineer - ROI Solar & BESS - West FL Region

About the role

Florida Power & Light is seeking an Associate PGD Field Engineer to join the FPL Power Generation Solar Operations Team. The role involves the daily operation and maintenance of large-scale solar and battery facilities within Florida.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all personnel and equipment onsite are safe and comply with environmental regulations
• Perform routine tasks such as preventative and corrective maintenance, and root cause analysis
• Coordinate with the Renewables Operation Control Center, OEMs, Vendors, and Contractors as needed
• Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a strong bias for action
• Traverse the field (outside) to troubleshoot and repair solar facility components

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
• Experience: 0+ years
• Valid Driver's License (non CDL)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
