Associate or Full Professor, Clinician Educator, Pediatric Cardiology

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track.

Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities may include didactic lectures to fellows, residents, medical students, and nursing staff on topics in general cardiology.
• Develop and implement curriculum, create innovative teaching materials, and mentor junior faculty.
• Clinical responsibilities may include:
  • Inpatient and outpatient coverage of General Cardiology Service
  • Electrophysiology
  • Pulmonary Hypertension
  • Catheterization/Interventional Laboratory
  • Heart Failure/Heart Transplant
  • Echocardiography and Fetal Echocardiography
  • Staffing of satellite offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania
• Establish an area of research concentration in general cardiology and any pediatric cardiology subspecialties.

Requirements

• M.D. or equivalent degree
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Experience in teaching, including curriculum development and mentoring
• Evidence of continued excellence in clinical practice, such as innovative accomplishments in delivery of care, clinical productivity, and quality improvement initiatives
• Identifiable area(s) of special expertise
• For Full Professor rank: a regional referral base
• Evidence of continued excellence in research concentration
