About the role

The Independent Doctor of Optometry will work within the practice of a Pearle Vision Subleasing Optometrist as an employee or contracted doctor. You will provide high quality optometric care and service to patients.

Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive eye examinations and prescribe appropriate treatments. - Maintain professional autonomy to care for patients. - Operate within the full scope of practice based on professional discretion and agreement with the Subleasing Doctor. - Negotiate terms of agreement, practice model, pay, and hours directly with the Subleasing Doctor. - Work flexible schedules including part-time commitments or adding work to an existing practice schedule. - Utilize a fully furnished office equipped with OD equipment. - Access an automated online appointment book and patient recall system.

Requirements

- Hold a valid Doctor of Optometry license. - Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. - Be willing to negotiate terms of employment with the Subleasing Doctor.

Qualifications

- Completion of an accredited Doctor of Optometry program. - Experience in independent practice preferred but not required. - Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
