Associate Network Strategist
About the role
The successful candidate will play a key role in accelerating partners' success through innovative financial technology solutions and inspired service. They will work closely with Growth leadership, Product and Marketing teams to understand strategic directions, competitive positioning, and future goals of Velera network solutions.
Responsibilities
- Understand strategic direction, competitive positioning, and future goals of Velera network solutions for our current clients and prospects.
- Partner with RVPs and CGEs to ensure growth within our existing client base and preserve existing network business.
- Partner with sales leadership and NSE teams to assist with deep network conversations, value proposition articulation, etc., to further net-new network business conversations.
- Assist in deal strategy related to both existing and new clients, becoming an expert in the landscape of debit/ATM networks.
- Provide market feedback to Growth leadership, Marketing, Strategy, and Product Teams, enhancing Velera’s value proposition and competitive pricing.
- Serve as an industry expert and articulate the network environment and Velera’s network attributes to internal and external audiences.
- Deliver sales presentations, supporting materials/analysis, on-site client/prospect visit support, and call support in conjunction with NSE/CGE teams to advance Velera objectives.
- Maintain client and competitor information in CRM tools, assist with opportunity creation and proposal requests when necessary.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Sit/stand for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5-10 years of Financial Institution background in operations, marketing, sales, sales operations, platform or member services.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Debit and ATM network experience—sales, pricing, competitive awareness.
- Professional communications including written, presentation, speaking, etc.
- Strong, confident presentation style.
- MS Office proficiency—particularly Excel and Powerpoint.
- Knowledge of debit network landscape and related products, sales operations, industry best practices, etc. in credit union space.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to formulate and execute strategy in alignment with Velera business objectives.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and proven leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Ability to travel as needed.
Pay
$60,500.00 - $77,100.00 Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
