Team Rubicon is seeking an Associate, Mission Support (Logistics) to join the Programs x Domestic Operations – Mission Support (MSB) team. This role is based out of our National Operations Center (NOC) in Atlanta, GA and reports to the Manager, Mission Support (Logistics).

About the role

The Associate, Mission Support (Logistics) will provide functional support to Team Rubicon’s Logistics, coordinating facilities, fleet, trailers, equipment caches, and warehouse supplies while ensuring timely execution of logistics efforts across multiple geographical locations. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and collaboration across functional and geographic teams. The role supports day-to-day logistics operations, connects branch teams with logistics support functions, and contributes to rapid, local disaster response.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Team Rubicon’s strategy to enhance rapid, local disaster response capabilities.
  • Participate in developing standards, policies, and processes for response, recovery, and mitigation operations.
  • Connect branch teams with functional leaders through matrixed reporting and coordination.
  • Support localized responses and operations management, including mentoring functional Greyshirt volunteer leaders.
  • Provide Emergency Operations Center (EOC) support and disaster response coordination as needed.
  • Support warehouse operations, including procurement, receiving, storage, organization, inventory control, and distribution of mission-critical equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and asset accountability through audits, cycle counts, reconciliation, reporting, and trend analysis.
  • Coordinate daily on-site support for the National Operations Center, including package handling, building maintenance, and facility upkeep.
  • Track the movement, status, and availability of fleet vehicles, trailers, equipment, and supplies to identify replenishment needs and improve resource availability.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs for vehicles, trailers, and operational equipment to ensure deployability and compliance.
  • Monitor logistics and maintenance costs, maintain records, and support data-driven resource planning.
  • Coordinate with branch teams, logistics leadership, and cross-functional partners to align execution and communication.
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and applying standards, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and disaster response capabilities.
  • Serve as a key member of the Emergency Operations Team (EOT) during disasters, assuming designated EOC roles as assigned.
  • Participate in EOC activation, operation, and deactivation to ensure effective response coordination.
  • Provide direct support in coordinating response activities with local, state, federal, and non-governmental agencies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing disaster response strategies to deploy resources efficiently.
  • Facilitate communication between field operations, the EOC, and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Team Rubicon’s mission.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in the military, disaster response, emergency management, or first responder fields.
  • Proven record of personnel management experience, including recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers.
  • Experience with technology tools and remote work for coordinating with a large network of staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, manage multiple priorities, and contribute effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired.
  • Knowledge or experience in coordinating international medical logistics or medical supplies inventories and procurement is a plus.

Special Requirements

  • Full-time, onsite position based at Team Rubicon’s National Operations Center (NOC) in Atlanta, GA.
  • Flexible and non-traditional work schedule, with availability to support evening, weekend, and operational periods as required.
  • Reliable transportation for local travel to support ongoing efforts.
  • At least 25% non-local travel to support broader organizational logistics and disaster response activities.

Pay

Pay range: $48,936.25 - $68,608.08 per year. The hiring range reflects where we most likely intend to hire for this role, with compensation varying based on market conditions, cost of living, skills, capabilities, and experience.
