Associate, Merchant Account Manager
Skimlinks, now a Taboola company, is a global e-commerce monetization platform with offices in LA, London, Germany, and NYC. We work with over 60,000 premium publishers (Condé Nast, Hearst Magazines, Buzzfeed, Huffington Post, Business Insider, Refinery29, and more) and 50,000 retailers worldwide, helping content producers earn commissions for the products and brands they write about. Our technology tracks browsing and shopping behaviors of over 650 million users, understanding web pages, brands, products, clicks, and purchases across our network. We track over $2.5 million in affiliated sales daily.
About the role
The Associate, Merchant Account Manager is based in NY, is part of the Skimlinks Commercial team, and reports to the Manager, Merchant Accounts. The main focus of this role is to assist the Account Management team while learning and developing a portfolio of merchant clients, ensuring full utilization of Skimlinks' and Connexity services and platform.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing, retaining, and accelerating the growth of accounts through proactive client engagement, including evaluating Merchants' long-term strategic objectives
- Identify upsell opportunities to align current or potential product offerings with the goals of top-tier publishers and Influencer programs
- Assist with publisher/influencer and merchant sponsorship flat-fee placements
- Resolve account issues proactively and expediently; collaborate cross-departmentally for issue resolution when needed
- Provide marketplace feedback and competitive intelligence to internal groups to improve and enhance product offerings
- Work with the Operations team to ensure seamless implementation of platform/network technology
- Enforce strong network quality standards across Skimlinks merchants regarding promotional practices
- Set up, monitor, and log merchant requests via internal systems
Requirements
- 1+ years of account management, sales planning, or campaign management experience, preferably in a structured sales environment, with a desire to become a dedicated Account Manager
- Understanding of the advertising, affiliate, paid search, online publishing, or media industry
- Familiarity with CPC and CPA cost models and KPIs associated with Publisher and advertiser ecosystems (e.g., revenue per redirect, revenue per session, conversion, cost of sale)
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills
- Analytic, quantitative, and technical aptitude with great attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, driven, flexible, and adaptable with a proven track record of exceeding goals
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
- BA/BS degree

Pay
The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000, with variations based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Compensation packages include bonuses, equity, 401(k) match, and rich benefits.
Schedule
This position is based in NY and currently follows a hybrid schedule (2 days/week in office).
