Associate Mental Health Therapist (IFS, Trauma-Informed, Neurodivergent Affirming)

About the role

Therapy on Fig is a culturally sensitive, identity-affirming (LGBTQ+, Neurodivergent) mental health practice in Highland Park, Northeast Los Angeles. We are seeking a registered associate therapist (AMFT, APCC, ACSW) to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a minimum of 18-20 sessions per week
• Provide individual and couples therapy for adults and teens focusing on trauma recovery, intergenerational trauma, grief and loss, Highly Sensitive (HSP), BIPOC, and neurodivergent people
• Utilize IFS (Internal Family Systems) and cultural sensitivity in therapy
• Incorporate attachment-based, relationally focused, and somatically oriented therapy
• Offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for clients with strong intellectual and problem-solving capacities
• Offer personalized, compassionate, and high-quality therapy services
• Offer in-person sessions at our Highland Park office at least one weekday morning and one evening, and possibly on weekends, on a weekly basis

Requirements

• Active registration with the California BBS
• Able to maintain a minimum caseload of 18-20 sessions per week (part-time position)
• Committed to seeing private practice clients exclusively at Therapy on Fig
• Own private space, computer, and wifi for telehealth/remote sessions
• Timely completion of session notes with attention to detail
• Able to self-manage fluctuating schedules based on clients' needs
• Able to write a blog post 1X a month, tailored to their ideal client
• Able to see clients in the Highland Park, L.A. office at least one weekday morning and one evening, and possibly on weekends, on a weekly basis

Qualifications

• IFS informed or trained
• Experience or interest in couples work
• Comfort working with neurodivergent clients and/or couples
• Additional training in modalities such as AEDP, EFT, or somatic approaches

Benefits

• W2 employee status with pay ranging from $50-$90 per clinical hour (the initial 6 months) and $56-$100 (post-6-month employment)
