ASSOCIATE MEDICAL EXAMINER
Responsibilities
This is a professional and scientific position in the specialized field of forensic pathology responsible for investigating deaths, performing autopsies, conducting pathological and toxicological analyses, and assisting the Medical Examiner with duties as assigned. Duties involve responding to emergencies at a variety of hours and locations.
Minimum Qualification
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Doctor of Medicine degree
- Completion of a residency in pathology and a fellowship in forensic pathology
Special Requirement
- Eligibility for a license to practice medicine in the State of New York and possession of a valid license within six (6) months of appointment
- Certified by the American Board of Pathology in Forensic Pathology or eligible for certification at the time of appointment
- Must possess certification with two (2) years of appointment

Salary
$156,915 - $217,208 annually
