Associate Medical Director, Obstetrics and Gynecology

About the role

Maine Medical Center, Biddeford, is seeking a full-time, Board-Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to join their dedicated team as the Associate Medical Director (AMD).

Responsibilities

• Lead a practice committed to delivering exceptional care while maintaining a strong work-life balance.
• Join a well-established practice of 7 physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners.
• Offer a mix of office, gynecologic surgery including robotic surgery, and obstetrics.
• Benefit from an academic affiliation with Maine Medical Center and the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, providing the opportunity to teach both residents and medical students.
• Share 1:7 weekend call responsibilities.
• Deliver approximately 450 babies annually at a Level 1 Maternal Center.
• Work in a large, dynamic health system with close collaboration between Maine Medical Center’s Portland campus and the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Support sub-specialty referral and consultation services including urogynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology & infertility, pediatric & adolescent gynecology, and complex family planning services.

Requirements

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Board Certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• At least 5 years of experience in full-scope obstetrics and gynecology.
