About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role will work closely with our finance team and senior leadership to ensure accurate financial records and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for management review.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits and tax filings.
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, and audit support.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
