Associate Mechanical Technician

Position Summary

Responsibilities

• Set up, execute, and document impact tests and test procedures for sponsored impact research projects.
• Maintain test facility readiness, lab organization, and lab housekeeping.
• Aid in target fixture design and fabrication.

Requirements

• High-School Diploma.
• Experience with basic hand tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen due to the requirements of their research contracts with the U.S. federal government.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree.
• Knowledge of Solidworks or CAD software.
• Familiarity with the operation of milling machines and lathes.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to keep the lab clean and tidy.
• Ability to follow test procedures and document results.
• Ability to assist with fixture design and fabrication.
