Associate Mechanical Engineer
About the role
United Integrated Services (USA) Corp. is a U.S. subsidiary of United Integrated Services Co., Ltd. (UIS Taiwan), established in 2020 and 1982 respectively. UIS specializes in multidisciplinary engineering and construction services, particularly for high-technology manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform requirements classification of clients, communicating project requirements and design review with internal & external design teams for Mechanical Systems, including process exhaust ducts, scrubbers for waste air treatment, and dosing chemicals.
- Clarify specifications with stakeholders and assist procurement team in procuring Mechanical systems equipment and materials.
- Understand isometrics, P&ID, and CAD drawings specifically for ME systems.
- Review, approve, and oversee the installation of ME systems.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications and adherence to construction schedules.
- Review progress reports, materials used, costs, contract payment applications, and adjust work schedules based on reports.
- Respond to RFI (Request for Information) and change orders.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal use and client communication.
- Identify and solve problems, manage scheduling and schedule execution.
- Review and interpret drawing and review specifications and estimates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 0-5+ years of work experience related to Mechanical Engineering with a strong focus on cleanroom construction. Experience in HVAC is preferred.
Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of process exhaust duct sizing & layout, mechanism of scrubber for waste air treatment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Ability to use engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Primavera, or others. Excellent organizational and time management skills. High level of attention to detail, and highly organized. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees. Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude. Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
Language Proficiency: Effective English verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to communicate in Mandarin/Taiwanese is a plus.
Nice to have: Start-up experience. Verbal communication skills in Mandarin. Professional Engineer license.
Additional Requirements: Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.

- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and high-visibility vests.
- Interaction with powered industrial equipment, tools, and vehicles.
