Associate Mechanical Estimator

This full-time Associate Estimator role is based in multiple locations including Overland Park (KS), Atlanta (GA), Dallas/Fort Worth (TX), Memphis/Nashville (TN), Orlando/Tampa (FL), Creve Coeur (MO), and Tulsa (OK). Relocation is not eligible and visa sponsorship is not available.

Job Summary

The Associate Estimator performs all aspects of estimating with minimal supervision and may assist in pre-construction activities.

Responsibilities

Estimating Responsibilities

• Develops and/or compiles discipline and multi-discipline material take-offs (MTOs)
• Evaluates and/or develops labor rates and subcontract costs
• Enters information into spreadsheets or databases for inclusion in estimates
• Assists in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments (with additional experience within one specialty)

Pre-Construction Activities

• Assists the Pre-Construction/Estimating team in developing preliminary Work Packages

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search in compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• BS or MS graduate in Construction Management or related field
• Field experience
• Project experience

Skills

• Understanding of estimating principles and procedures
• Mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret and understand specifications, contracts, and typical construction drawings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft CoPilot 365
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Calculator proficiency

Pay

Salary Plan: EST (Estimating), Job Grade 014.
