About the role

The Associate Director, OPI US, oversees comprehensive brand management, including developing strategies informed by data-driven business analysis and market insights. This role will lead the US marketing team and serve as a key point of contact for cross-functional partners. In close collaboration with Product Marketing, Trade Marketing, and the Global Activation team, this leader will build and execute US plans for OPI that meet or exceed annual targets. This role is also responsible for managing budgets, optimizing resource allocation, and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to drive growth and profitability. Additionally, leads the creation of communication recaps, refines brand messaging, and acts as a steward for the brand, ensuring alignment across all business and creative functions.

Responsibilities

  • US Market Brand Leadership
    • Lead end-to-end marketing planning across base business, innovation, and brand-building
    • Serve as the steward of brand performance and translate results into clear actions
    • Own delivery of the annual operating plan and resource allocation
  • Brand Activation & Go-To-Market Strategy
    • Set the activation strategy and priorities for the U.S. market
    • Define integrated 360 plans across paid, earned, and owned channels
    • Own the marketing calendar and ensure clarity across initiatives
    • Develop clear briefs that translate strategy into executional excellence
  • Innovation & Portfolio Leadership
    • Partner with global teams to shape pipeline and positioning
    • Ensure launch readiness and initiative sufficiency
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Ways of Working
    • Serve as the central integrator across brand, sales, and global partners
    • Drive clarity of ownership and accountability across the organization
    • Establish KPIs and ways of working that prioritize outcomes over activity
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team
    • Set clear priorities and build capability across the team
  • Performance Management
    • Own total brand performance against commercial and brand health goals
    • Lead business reviews and drive ongoing optimization through insights

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or relevant field; MBA Preferred
  • 10+ years relevant experience in Marketing (previous CPG/Beauty preferred).
  • Digitally savvy & Passionate about Beauty
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects. Bias to action to deliver projects complete and on-time, with ability to motivate others to support
  • Strong ownership and accountability - able to roll-up your sleeves and make things happen
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to tailor messages for various audiences in a manner that is relatable and understandable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Positive, ‘can do’ energy and team-oriented
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint (an absolute must!), Word, Excel (also a must!) and related software skills to create verbal and visually engaging brand materials, reports, and presentations
