Associate Manufacturing Technician Intanking 2nd shift

Hyosung HICO is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Technician to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Memphis, TN. We transform the future of energy through high-quality transformer production and offer competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing tasks such as loading/unloading machinery, operating non-CNC equipment, gluing/clamping, painting/coating, testing/measurement, and oil filling equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble parts/subassemblies, measure and adjust parts using measuring instruments, and inspect products to ensure quality.
• Connect, crimp, solder, and braze internal leads and product wiring, and wrap/tape/insulate leads/wires.
• Wrap, tape, or insulate leads and wires according to work instructions, perform basic electrical tests, and fabricate wooden parts, fixtures, and packaging.
• Operate equipment for vacuuming, oil filling, and recovery, clean and lubricate parts, and safely move/handle/store materials.
• Perform TPM tasks, follow standard work procedures, and support other manufacturing areas as needed.
• Comply with safety rules, guidelines, and safe working practices, and assist with completing process check sheets.

Requirements

• Two-year Associate’s Degree in electrical or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year experience in testing or utilities, or equivalent experience.
• Multiple years’ experience as electrician or service technician (high voltage equipment and/or utility industry preferred).
• Developed written and verbal communication skills, developed math and electrical engineering skills, broad experience using inspection tools, instruments and equipment, and developed computer skills for entering/retrieving data.

Qualifications

• Advanced ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical technical drawings.
• Ability to inspect work and work in normal indoor temperatures.
• Standing, walking, sitting, squatting, bending, stretching, kneeling, climbing, standing on ladders, lifting/carrying up to 35/50 pounds, using basic hand and power tools, performing repetitive movements, maintaining 6S workplace organization, and following basic safety rules.

Skills

• Basic preventative maintenance and TPM on equipment and machines.
• Assist with completing process check sheets according to Company procedures.
• Support and assist the Manufacturing Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager as needed.
• Understand and work under the direction of Hyosung HICO policies and procedures.
