Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicates them to internal and external customers.
  • Defines, develops and transfers manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems.
  • Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.
  • Actively participates with engineering project teams in order to coordinate the release of new products.
  • Estimates and tracks manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
  • Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
  • Performs a variety of engineering work in the development, improvement, and optimization of multiple processes and techniques, including circuit card assembly, standard module assembly, and electro-mechanical final assembly.
  • Improve and optimize current processes, implement new tooling, improve existing tooling, and create robust technical documentation on existing processes and tooling.

Qualifications

  • Implementing manufacturing standard work and best practices to improve operational metrics.
  • Translate drawing requirements into detailed work instructions for the assembly, integration, and testing of complex end-products.
  • Work with existing and legacy equipment.
  • Control and improve existing processes.
  • Perform failure analysis and risk mitigation.
  • Complete technical writing and training related tasks.
  • Cook up with maintenance group for equipment upkeep and training.

Pay

The salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $64,500 - $120,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.

Schedule

Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.
